Ben Murray (25) appeared before Letterkenny District Court in Co Donegal charged with dangerous driving.

The 19-year-old, who has no previous convictions, made full admissions and was apologetic to gardaí, the court was told.

The alleged incident took place shortly before 1 am on Monday morning.

The 24-year-old pleaded guilty to charges of dangerous driving, drink-driving and driving without insurance.

Judge Walsh remanded Hayes, who sat alone in the courtroom, on continuing bail to appear before Limerick Circuit Criminal Court, on the suspended sentence for violent disorder, on March 19th.

A man was arrested following the incident, which happened in the early hours of Friday.

A two-year suspended sentence was imposed on five-time All-Star winning hurler Hayes, (26), last December, after he was convicted of two counts of violent disorder at the Icon nightclub, Limerick, on October 28th 2019
