Egyptian national Ibrahim Ahmed Gharib was found guilty at the Central Criminal Court of raping and sexually assaulting a woman a year after he was released from prison.

In her victim impact statement, the woman described Christopher Vaughan, of Killeely Road, Ballynanty, Limerick, as “a monster” and “a coward.”
