A joint report from the Simon Communities of Ireland and Simon Community NI revealed that hidden homelessness impacts 30,000 households across the island of Ireland. 

According to the annual Focus Ireland report, some 18,000 people engaged with the charity over the last 12 months.

More than 4,400 children were also accessing such services, according to the latest figures.

The calls were made at an event to officially open Houben House, Ireland’s largest family homelessness hub which can accommodate up to 350 people.
