A COUPLE both aged in their 70s have appeared in court charged with the assault of an unnamed man in Crettyard, Co Laois almost two years ago.

A 20-YEAR-OLD man is to be sentenced on 22 July at Carlow District Court for crashing into his friend’s leg in a car park in Graiguecullen last August.
