The US actor died on Wednesday after suffering from bowel cancer.

The 37-year-old appeared in the 28th season of the dancing show with Van Der Beek.

The US actor was a heart-throb in the late 1990s and most known for his role playing Dawson Leery in Dawson’s Creek.

Van Der Beek, 48, was best known for his role in popular US teen drama Dawson’s Creek.

Van Der Beek has had to pull of the event due to two stomach issues with Hamilton writer Lin Manuel Miranda replacing him for the live reading.
