Craig Condron of Templeacre Avenue, Gurranabraher, Cork, was on a “downward spiral” following the death of a close relative when the offence occurred, Cork Circuit Criminal Court heard.

Dt Garda Purtill told the court that Mr Condron made no reply when the charges were put to him under caution.
