Danny Heyneman (31), of Kilnavart, Ballyconnell, is accused of killing Annie Heyneman (55) on Saturday night.

Annie Heyneman, who was in her 50s, was found dead at her home in a rural area near Ballyconnell on Saturday night.

Gardai said that they are investigating a ‘serious incident which occurred at a domestic residence’.

One man (30s) was arrested at a separate location, and detained at a Garda Station in the Co Cavan area.

The scene has been preserved as gardaí investigate the cause of the fire.
