Title-winning manager Arne Slot chose not to attend the LMA Awards out of solidarity with the 50-plus people injured when a car drove into the crowd.

Joe Gilligan, who lives in Ballinafad, Co Sligo, travelled over last weekend to attend Liverpool’s final game of the season on Sunday, and stayed on for the team's Premier League victory parade in the city centre on Monday.

A 53-year-old man was arrested after a car struck several pedestrians on Water Street, close to where the parade had finished, with 50 people injured.
