THERE were a lot of tears around the country at the weekend. The annual merry-go-round had started and that’s nothing compared to the floods of tears which will be witnessed over the coming days.

The first intake of 30 students will commence their undergraduate studies in September.

Over the last three budgets, a cut of €1,000 was applied to the contribution fee for third-level students, but it is expected that it will return to €3,000 this year.

Those who have already applied to the CAO can change their course choices up to 5pm on Monday evening
