A teenager has been given two years detention for the false imprisonment of another young man.

The woman was burned with a makeshift blow torch and a heated hammer head, cut with a knife, kicked and punched, had her hair cut off, and was threatened with rape, the court heard.

Randi Gladstone (41), formerly from Guyana, raped, sexually assaulted and falsely imprisoned a young woman, having only been in Ireland for two weeks.

The five appeared before Judge Alan Mitchell at Cloverhill District Court on Tuesday.

The detective said Donegan then grabbed the woman by the throat and squeezed her windpipe. He said that Donegan told her that he had a Glock handgun and a shotgun.

A third teenager was also found not guilty of false imprisonment of the same girl today
