Gavin Lawlor (24) attacked the 18-year-old victim in a series of incidents, which included punches and slaps to the head and face and on one occasion involved him locking her in a room.

The man subjected his wife to a “prolonged campaign of domination” which culminated in him raping her in June 2021

The 24-year-old man also threatened to publish intimate images of the then 20-year-old woman, and at one point, when she managed to move out of the house eight months later, he sent her almost 5,000 text messages over a four-day period

On Monday, Martin Gooney was handed a sentence of three years and two months. A post-release supervision order of 12 months was also imposed.

His former partner, Donna Clifford (21), waived her anonymity after sentencing at the Central Criminal Court was complete to allow Tracey to be named.

Ian Barry (44) of the Ashes, Trimleston, Goatstown, Dublin 14 was sent forward from the District Court on a signed guilty plea of coercive control on dates between 2019 and 2022 at another address in south county Dublin.
