A man in his 50s remains in a serious condition in hospital following the incident on Athlunkard Street on Tuesday night.

A man, aged in his 30s, has been charged over an assault in Dublin that has left a man, aged in his 50s, in a serious condition in hospital

The incident took place in McIntosh Park around 3pm and the man was brought to St Vincent's Hospital

The man, whose age is unknown, is in a critical condition at Beaumont Hospital.

The man in his 40s, who was arrested in connection with the investigation on Friday, has now been charged.

The incident happened on Barrack Street in Ballaghadereen in the early hours of Thursday morning

The injured man was treated by emergency services and conveyed to Tipperary University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The attack took place at approximately 6.30pm on Friday December 5th in Cappaghmore estate.

The assault took place in the early hours of Sunday, October 26th.

Following the incident, the man was conveyed to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of serious injuries.

Two men in their 20s were later arrested in connection with the investigation.

The boy was taken to the Mater Hospital, while gardaí have preserved the scene and carried out a technical examination.
