The child was 16 years old at the time and hostel staff told gardaí that there had been inappropriate contact between the man and the child.

Ilamar Rodrigues Ribeiro (54) was arrested by investigating gardaí from the Garda Human Trafficking and Co-ordination Unit when he returned to Ireland from his native Brazil.
