A man in his late teens and a man in his 40s died following road incidents on Tuesday, and a woman in her 80s died following a crash on Monday. 

52 per cent of serious injuries occurred in Dublin.

William Faulkner, (24), of Caherdavin Heights, Limerick, who was a friend of Patrick O’Reilly at the time, went on trial on Tuesday accused of dangerous driving and endangerment leading up to the double fatal collision

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the incident in Co Laois.

The collision occurred on the N83 at 8:00 pm.

The developer, Glenveagh Living Ltd, which was a notice party in the case, opposed the action along with An Coimisiún Pleanála, which was a respondent.

Gardaí attended the scene of a road traffic collision that occurred on the Kilmurry Roundabout, Castletroy, Co Limerick on Tuesday 18th November 2025 at approximately 10pm.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the collision shortly after 1.30am.

The crash happened at around 10am on Friday at Batterstown.

A 19-year-old male cyclist who was injured in a collision on Sunday night, July 27th, on the R113, Fonthill Road South, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, has also died. 

The cyclist, a man in his late teens, is in Beaumont Hospital in a critical condition.

Virgilio Almeida Cardoso Neto said he had no chance to stop or avoid crashing into the door of the car that had been stopped partly in the cycle lane and on Crumlin Road, Dublin.

Juan Souza Gomes, 25, with no fixed address, appeared at a weekend sitting of Dublin District Court.

The man has been named locally as Paddy O’Donoghue (81) from Gortahoonig, Muckross, Killarney, Kerry.

Shortly after 7.30am, gardaí were alerted to the collision on the junction of Griffeen Avenue, R136 and Balgaddy Road.

His body has since been removed to the mortuary at University Cork Hospital where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

It happened on the Monaghan Road in the Middletown area.

Gardaí responded just after 8pm on Wednesday night on the R627 near Westpark, in Midleton

The cyclist, a man in his 40s, was brought to Beaumont Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.

A car driver was uninjured in the incident.

The cyclist was conveyed by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, where his condition is understood to be serious.
