STRATFORD Grangecon celebrated 25 weeks of local lotto in Moore’s Pub, Grangecon.

The first lotto draw took place on 20 December in the Stratford Arms and in the intervening 25 weeks a very significant amount of money was generated.

The lotto jackpot was shared on Monday 7 February between Sandra Evans, Stratford and Laura Shortt, Baltinglass, who each received €1,625.

The communities of Stratford and Grangecon have been extremely supportive and generous.

Many neighbouring parishes, communities and businesses, as well as the wider GAA community, contribute hugely to weekly lotto sales.

The funds being generated by the lotto mean that the club can strategically plan for development so that facilities can be improved for all in the Stratford Grangecon community.

The club would like to say a sincere thank you to all who support it week in, week out.
