A SECOND-YEAR student at Tullow Community School has claimed ‘Club Person of the Year’ title at Mount Wolseley Golf Club.
Fourteen-year-old Shane Jackman from Mill Street, Tullow was presented with his award Mount Wolseley Golf Club captain Martin Savage at a presentation ceremony held in the club recently.
When not studying at Tullow Community School, Shane spends every minute of his spare time on the golf course at Mount Wolseley.
Shane is passionate about the game and is obviously grateful that he has such a wonderful golf course on his doorstep.
Shane was thrilled to be have been honoured with the award, which was a wonderful gesture by the club captain and members of Mount Wolseley Golf Club.
Being awarded club person of the year for 2011 is testament to Shane’s interest in golf and his club and this recognition will, no doubt, encourage him to continue with this sporting endeavours.
