IT’S THAT time of the year again … and the girls from Scoil Mhuire Lourdes, Tullow have been bringing in their shoebox gifts for needy children around the world.
This year’s Team Hope got a very generous response from the girls, who filled their boxes with small toys, school items and small gifts.
The girls took on the challenge in these times of recession and recognised that there are needy children all over the world, regardless of nationality, political background or religious beliefs.
The boxes were collected last Tuesday at the school and will be shipped off to their destination – anywhere from Lesotho to Moldova.
The girls got a big thrill to see the lorry being filled higher and higher with the brightly coloured shoeboxes.
