The show will support the ongoing development work at Crossbridge church. Special guests will include Daniel Furlong from Wexford, who was the winner of this year’s Ireland’s Got Talent competition and the beautiful soprano Louise Irvine from Enniskillen.

Many will be familiar with James Kilbane from his early days on RTÉ One’s You’re A Star and also with his many appearances on the EWTN TV channel, which has a worldwide audience.

A James Kilbane concert always proves to be a memorable night not to be missed.

In Tinahely, James’s special guests will include Ireland’s Got Talent 2011 winner Daniel Furlong. The audience will also enjoy the beautiful soprano voice of Louise Irvine. Louise is classically trained and studied opera at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.

Her debut album Voice of an Angel has just been released and Louise has also performed on many television networks. She is currently working with the Galway diocese and she will bring a classical touch to the event. The Tinahely concert also promises something for everyone and a memorable night not to be missed.

The search is on to find the brightest star

BACK by popular demand and now bigger than ever – it’s the Shillelagh Search for a Star competition.

Following on from the success of previous years, the talent show has now expanded its reach to include an over-18 category.

“It’s something a little different this year, due to demand. We now have an over-18 section so everyone can join in,” said organiser Tom Ryan.

Organisers will launch this year’s talent quest on Thursday at 7.30pm in Parkview House, Shillelagh.

The huge talent competition has attracted great crowds in the past, and this year is sure to be no different, with €2,500 prize money up for grabs.

The first heat of the junior talent competition will take place in Parkview House at 6pm on Sunday 6 November, and children are invited to enter the U13 and U18 categories.

The over-18 competition will kick off at 9.30pm in Parkview House on Friday 11 November and top acts from each category will qualify for the semi-finals.

All proceeds from the talent search will go towards the local Celtic Stars Football Club. For more information, contact Tom on 086-8498347.
