STAFF at Carlow’s largest entertainment complex were evacuated after a fire on Friday morning.
It is believed a small fire started at the Dinn Rí premises but was brought quickly under control after a number of units from Carlow Fire Service attended the scene.
“I was going to work on Friday morning at about 9am and saw all of the staff gathered outside in Haddens car park. There were three or four fire trucks there, too; they seemed to have things under control,” said a passer-by.
Luckily, there did not appear to be any lasting damage to the premises, which was open for business as usual for the remainder of the weekend.
