THE Ireland v Wales match at the Aviva on Sunday was, undoubtedly, the game of the Six Nations to date, although that doesn’t do this match justice after what Scotland and England offered up at Murrayfield on Saturday.
THE Towns Cup campaign for Tullow got off to a great start at the Black Gates on Sunday when we beat a very committed Clane side by a score of 22-6.
THE group stages of the Heineken Cup were wrapped up at the weekend and it provided all the usual excitement and drama.
IT was another great weekend for the Irish provinces with Ulster, Munster and Leinster all winning and Connacht performing very well in Toulouse, but unfortunately suffering another defeat.
As the crowds streamed into Leopardstown on St Stephen’s Day, not far way a member of a famous Irish racing family departed this life.
AFTER a very quiet Christmas it was back to reality last week and a training camp down in Mayo with the Senior Cup team in St Michael’s that I coach and then a trip to Cork Saturday morning to play Pres Cork followed by a quick dash to Limerick where I was working for RTE TV as an analyst for the Munster against Treviso game in the Rabo Direct Pro 12 league.
