By Terry Reilly ÉIRE Óg are upping the pressure on Carlow county board as they mounted a campaign with the clubs of the county last week. Following revelations from a Competitions Control Committee (CCC) report last week regarding incidents from the Éire Óg v Rathvilly semi-final the club said they weren’t satisfied with the findings. “It says what we’re looking for in the first few paragraphs,” said club secretary Andrea Ellis. “We feel that we can’t get a fair hearing from the county board and would like the clubs to know this. We feel the county board is there to serve the clubs not protect its officers.” The final statement seems to be aimed at the protagonist of this tale, Pat Deering, and the next county board meeting should be a fiery affair.
