DENSE fog saw this year’s Carlow GAA Poc Fada competition move from its usual location on the slopes of Mount Leinster to Fenagh Training Centre last week.

Men’s senior winner Hugh Paddy O’Byrne lets fly

Competitors made their way to Nine Stones car park for the competition on Monday evening where the adverse weather conditions, and little sign of a clearning, saw a late change of venue.

After keen competition the under-16 camogie title went to Rachel Breen of Mount Leinster Rangers while the senior camogie title saw a play-off between Tracy McNally of Naomh Brid and Eimear Byrne of Mount Leinster Rangers. In the end it was the Naomh Brid player who took the title.
