YOUNG Carlow musicians hit all the right notes as part of a Music Student Experience Day at Waterford IT.

Lecturers on the BA (hons) music course in WIT’s school of humanities recently held a ‘Music Student Experience’ day for prospective music students from schools and colleges of further education across the southeast.

Those in attendance included a group from the Carlow College of Further Education.

Programme leader Dr Hazel Farrell said: “This event was extremely beneficial to both prospective and current students, as they had the opportunity to work together and learn from each other. It provided the visiting students and their teachers with a deeper insight into the BA (hons) music programme at WIT and the required performance and music literacy standard.”
