The proceeds of Ballon Church Choir’s Cradle in a manger were presented to Carlow Hospice and St Clare’s Hospitality in Carlow. The concert was held on Sunday 18 December in Ballon and featured performances by Fr Liam Lawton, the Nolan sisters and the choir itself.
The event was very successful. It raised a total of €3,020 and cheques of €1,510 were presented to the two worthy causes recently.

Ballon Church Choir chairperson John Gladney thanked all who had supported the event.
Special thanks goes to Colm McElwee and Paul Cummins for managing the sound and lighting, while thanks also goes to Noel Heffernan of Ballon NS, who provided the use of the PA system.
The Cradle in a manger concert has been running for four years and has raised funds for a variety of good causes.
